Pressed Sorbents
NatraSorb® 900 offers a moisture adsorber and a structural part in one and can replace product components (metal or plastic part, ballasts, insulators, shock pads, etc.). NatraSorb® 900 has a controlled adsorption rate, which restricts the amount of moisture it picks up during handling and causes it to last longer than a traditional sorbent.

- Extremely versatile composition has high moisture-adsorptive qualities, yet has good strength
- Can be machined like nylon or aluminum
- Ideal solution where restricted space or weight limits are an important design criteria
- NatraSorb® 900 can replace structural parts such as metal or plastic parts, ballasts, insulators, shock pads, etc. This provides the needed adsorptive capacity without adding to the bulk weight of the product, component, or assembly.
- Easily Reusable
- NatraSorb® 900 is furnished in its activated (dry) state and can dehumidify atmospheres to a -73°C (-100°F) dew point. Depending on the size, thickness, and configuration of the molded or machined part, the desiccant will reach its equilibrium capacity in about 10 to 100 hours. Reactivation of the Natrasorb® 900 desiccant shape may be accomplished by heating at 175°C (347°F) in a vacuum of less than 0.1mm of mercury for a period from 12 to 24 hours.
- Controlled Adsorption Rate
- NatraSorb® 900 is an activated crystalline silico-aluminate with organic binders which gives the finished desiccant properties similar to those of thermoset plastics. It will readily adsorb moisture, but its high density slows the rate of adsorption.
